Thomas and Emma were from Chelsea, England.[1] In 1871, the family lived still lived there. At this time, Thomas was a journeyman bookmaker. They were from Middlesex, Chelsea, England. They had several children at the time.[2] They came to the United States in 1874. They had 12 children. Thomas was a shoemaker in 1900.[1]
