Emily Marianie Behunin Peterson

Overview

          Emily was born in Circleville, Utah. She was married three times because her husbands would pass away. She and her husband Julius adopted a few children. The children were sealed to them. When Julius passed away, Emily was left alone with Marinda. They had a really hard time making it all alone.[1] Emily ran a hotel in Fairview and Maranda helped her take care of it.[2] When Marinda married Rufus, Emily moved in with them. She was a really wonderful woman and grandma. She lived with the Lewis family until she passed away.[1]

Emily's Personality

          Emily was an easy-going lady. Even in her older years, she was very healthy. She was strong like Donna and Norma's mother Marinda. She didn't have much gray hair and she had all of her own teeth. She would wear a pure white Sunday skirt that was long. When Donna would get in trouble she would hide in her grandma Emily's skirt. Emily wouldn't say anything, so Donna's parents didn't know where she was. That is Donna's favorite memory.[1]

Emily's Death

          In her later years Emily had appendicitis. The doctors said that she was too old to operate on, so she had a really rough time for three days before she died.[1]
